“Heritage Center’s Annual Meeting June 9 in Cambridge Springs”

A free public program about the history of the Trolley Station in Cambridge Springs will be presented inside the station building on Monday evening, June 9 at 7:00 p.m. during the Annual Membership Meeting of the Northwestern Pennsylvania Railroad & Tooling Heritage Center.

Mr. Dale Doctor will review the origins and subsequent uses of the Trolley Station, which was constructed in 1910 at 133 Railroad Street in downtown Cambridge Springs. It is now owned by the Heritage Center and being restored to serve as a mini-museum and public meeting venue.

Receiving the Volunteer of the Year Award will be Mrs. Maryann Martin of Meadville, in recognition of her donated services in grantsmanship, project property negotiations, and ongoing support of this relatively new non-profit corporation. Crawford County Historical Society will receive the Partner of the Year Award, with their President Mrs. Beth Rekas accepting the award on behalf of the organization.

The Board of the Northwestern Pennsylvania Railroad & Tooling Heritage Center cordially invites the public to attend the 2014 Annual Membership Meeting which will take place on Monday, June 9, at 7:00 P.M. at the former Erie Traction Company Trolley Station, 133 Railroad Street, Cambridge Springs, PA. Refreshments will be offered starting at 6:30 P.M. Sponsoring this year’s awards are Leech Carbide and the U.S. Bronze Foundry & Machine, Inc.

On the agenda for the evening’s business meeting are a report by President Edward Cronin, report by Treasurer Patricia Winsor, election of Directors for three-year terms, and updates about the various projects being coordinated by the Heritage Center.
